The Perfect Graduation Gift :Male Edition

Oh, it's so easy to buy things for the females on your list. I have been getting lots of junk mail suggesting gifts for the male grad. As it happens, I know the perfect gift. Try it and you'll see. I learned about it from a hip colleague.

It is: a Lamy safari fountain pen! These only cost about $30.00. I got Frugal Son one in yellow, but there are other cool colors.

Check it out: Lamy safari fountain pen yellow fine

My gift to you.
Any other good gifts for the guys?

I suggest one of the latest Nokia cellphones, because it is the best and it is Finnish. ( Mine is Nokia Sirocco ).

Can you tell us how much he likes it afterwards? My husband loves pens, so thanks!

@metscan--great idea. Thanks.

@budgeting--I would never recommend something untested. My son LOVES his. Also all his friends want one for themselves.

Am posting on this topic on 5/25, for males and females. I love Lamy pens!

We gave our grad son a major contribution toward a trip he was longing to take.

My nephews seem to enjoy cash :)

@Duchesse--Wow--a great gift. I was thinking of gifts for the children of acquaintances--smallish gifts.

@Cubicle--I am a believer in cash gifts, but some families frown on the practice. I think I first mentioned the pen on your site --last year??

ohhhh How cool! Just last weekend M'hijito was over here and came across an old Schaeffer (sp??) pen I'd soaked clean. Said he wanted a fountain pen. Great gift for a young man. :-)

I love pens and all stationary products. As a kid, I thought everyone felt the same way, until I was mocked endlessly for buying my brother a cool set of markers and paper for Christmas.

I want to see if that pen comes in red!

@Kris: I'm almost positive that it comes in red...they seriously come in almost every color you could imagine.

@Budgeting: Yes, I love mine! I actually like it better than my other, more expensive fountain pen. It feels good in the hand (not to heavy) and it's flashy!

Mama, Michael actually bought a Lamy after trying mine out because he liked it so much.
