You may recall that in December, I complained mildly about Chico's customer service: enticed by free shipping and a 20% discount, I ordered something, got a confirmation, and then, nothing....So I called after more than a week, and, after a lengthy wait, the rep said that the supplier hadn't made enough of the item. I sent an email to customer service, suggesting that they officially cancel my order and MAYBE offer me free shipping on a future order. I got a response along the lines of "We're notifying the authorities of your concerns blahblahblah."
Well. My blog post got a response. Someone named Noelle told me to email her at Chico's and that she would make things right. So I did. And NO RESPONSE.
Could the email have been from an impostor? It was the Christmas season and very few people are named Noelle, after all.
And, guess what, my order still hasn't been cancelled!

Unlikely this is bona fide. Does the e-mail addy suggest Chico's? Did Noelle supply other contact info?
Lands End and other vendors have a "track your current order" where you can go in, see status and cancel a pending order. Good feature.
Ouch! Is there somewhere that you can leave feedback or email the hed office? This is really the living end...I'd be boycotting the store.
If Noelle is for real, she reads your blog and is going to see this, right?
@Duchesse--Email addy was publicity@chicos.com. I sent a note %Noelle. Re your other comment. I think people in pr troll the internet looking for comments. I got a nice comment from Cabots Cheese Co. after I mentioned that I love the extra sharp cheddar.
@Hostess--I don't buy much there. My mother is an addict and nothing will keep her from that place, believe me.
So it looks pretty legit. Maybe Noelle was downsized?
Good Afternoon, Frugal Scholar,
I found your second post, and once again, I'm truly sorry to hear about your experience at Chico's. Unfortunately, your e-mail didn't come through to us. One of our customer service representatives, Robert, would love to have the opportunity to chat with you for a moment. If you would like to connect with him, please e-mail him directly at robert.konst@chicos.com
Thank you.
Noelle
I had bad customer service from Chico's, but, mine was in the STORE. It was Wed. 1/20/10 around 7:00 at the DeWitt, NY store. My mom & I spent about 45 minutes there and our mere existence wasn't even acknowledged. There were at least 3 women working there and only about 2 other customers in the store. Not once did a clerk ever smile at us, say hello, or ask if we needed help. Usually they are like vultures in that store. Their quality has declined as their prices have risen over the years. This just gives me one final reason never to shop there again.
@Punka--You could call the manager and register a complaint....It's weird because i find the salespeople OVER solicitous.
That's a good idea. I agree - usually they are all over you. Go figure??? Thanks for the comment.
